One of our significant challenges in the past was the time it took to process a large number of photos quickly. To overcome this, we completely revamped our workflows, focusing on creating a more efficient and streamlined process. Our new workflow was designed to achieve three main objectives.

Firstly, we prioritized redundancy to ensure that all data would be backed up continuously as we shot. This way, we minimized the risk of losing any valuable images during the process.

Secondly, we implemented a system that allowed our athletes to view the images as they were being captured. This real-time feedback not only boosted their confidence during the shoot but also facilitated better collaboration between the athletes and our photography team.

Thirdly, we incorporated the capability to edit the photos right from the stations as they were being taken. This approach significantly reduced the post-processing time, making it possible to deliver the final images promptly.

Our workflow relied on a combination of manpower and an extensive network of ethernet cables. With over five Mac computers, including the powerful "The Beast" Mac Pro, and one 42-inch monitor, we had all the necessary tools to display and process the photos as they were shot.

Here's how it worked: The cameras were tethered to our network, which immediately sent the RAW photos to "The Beast." From there, our network of Mac computers played specific roles, such as sorting the photos by station and athlete, editing the images, and ultimately uploading the final captioned JPG files to both PhotoShelter and INFLCR.

This revamped workflow proved to be highly successful, enabling us to handle large quantities of photos efficiently and deliver high-quality images in a significantly shorter time frame.
